Cookies

We use as few cookies and similar technologies as possible. Here is every one.

Always on, because the site needs them

• Your analytics choice. Remembers whether you said yes or no to Google Analytics, so we don’t keep asking. It’s kept in your browser’s local storage until you clear it.
• Your votes. A random code and the list of essays you voted for, so the vote buttons show what you’ve already chosen. It’s kept in your browser’s local storage until you clear it.

Only if you say yes

• Google Analytics (cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by a code). They count visits and show us which essays are read. They last up to two years.
